Wistra shows double-deck system for curtainsiders

Selmsdorf, August 14, 2014 – WISTRA GmbH Cargo Control, specialists for the production of cargo control systems will present their innovations at the Automechanika (September 16 – 20, 2014 in Frankfurt/Main and at the IAA Commercial Vehicles (September 25 – October 2, 2014 in Hannover): A double-deck system for curtainsiders with a high load capacity. You can find Wistra at booth D80 in hall 4 at the Automechanika and at booth C23 in hall 27 at the IAA.

The new double deck system for curtainsiders offers additional space for up to 33 Euro-pallets on a second platform. This design is approved by DEKRA for a maximum pallet weight of 500 kgs which is benchmark for this kind of double-deck system. It consists of 24 cross beams and 12 longitudinal bars which are fixed (anchored) within the sliding stanchions of the curtainsider. The cross beams can be inserted and find their place in the pockets between the sliding stanchions when they are not needed.

The length locking of the cross beams act as a stabilization of the vehicle body. Additionally a diagonal lashing is possible. The cross beam positioning area for the pallets is approx. 15 mm under the top of the longitudinal beams and so it serves as a pallet-stop. This way the pallets cannot slip into the tarpaulin. By means of additional longitudinal and cross beams you can reach a form-fit load securing in a simple way. The maximum capacity for this is 500 daN under a consistent load – provided a sufficient structural strength of the standard semitrailer according to Code XL-certificate.

Along with these innovations Wistra presents the complete portfolio of load securing on their 200 m² exhibition booth in hall 27 at the IAA in Hannover: lashing straps in many different designs and variations up to a lashing capacity LC of 10,000 daN, various load securing nets “Safeguard” for the use in station wagon cars up to heavy trucks, lashing tracks, shoring beams, decking beams along with longitudinal bars and cargo bars. The Wistra-own designs like GTS beverage securing, the Safecon load securing for IBC containers and the innovative Quick-View label are the Unique Selling Points of the medium-sized company. Other load securing like edge protectors and anti-slip-mats complete the product range. Furthermore Wistra still produces the “Powerbrace” security door gears for containers, box-type bodies and swap trailers  they started their business with back in 1988.
