Selmsdorf, 12 August 2010 – WISTRA GmbH, a company specialised in the manufacturing of cargo control systems, has developed a new automated calculation aid in DIN A5 format which facilitates calculating the number of lashing straps required. WISTRA will present its “Lashing strap slide” and a broad range of products for securing cargo at the IAA, the world’s largest utility vehicles trade fair (23 to 30 September 2010) in Hanover.
The company will be exhibiting in Hall 7, Stand C23. Cargo control experts Rainer Köbl and Christian Kübrich will be available to give free, detailed expert advice for the duration of the trade fair. On behalf of Wistra, the two trained DVR facilitators will regularly show visitors around the stand and explain products and applications and advise on legal issues.
The “lashing-strap slide” makes a classification into positive-fit load securing or tie-down lashings for stable loads for three different dynamic sliding friction coefficients, angles and preloading forces. The data can be viewed in a window on a sliding scale up to a loading weight of ten to 25 tons. At the same time, the robust material of the lashing-strap slide is kitted out with an integrated protractor, instructions and a table featuring material pairs and the corresponding friction coefficients. WISTRA offers the universal calculation aid for a nominal charge of EUR 4.
WISTRA GmbH based in Selmsdorf near Luebeck produces a full-line range of products for cargo control systems. This includes an extensive range of lashing straps with manifold options produced up to a lashing capacity (LC) off 10,000 daN, the tried-and-tested “Safeguard” nets for securing cargo, lashing tracks, shoring beams and cargo bars as well as decking beams and sliding decking beams.
Products developed in-house for securing cargo, such as the “GTS” and Safecon products for securing beverages and loads for IBC containers, are part of the mid-sized company’s unique selling proposition. Other products for securing cargo, such as edge protection and anti-slip mats, round up the offering. In addition, WISTRA manufactures products under the name of Powerbrace which are rotary bar fastenings for containers, bodies and swap bodies.
